Intramurals

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Michigan Gamma has not only succeeded academically and philanthropically, but we have also had a lot of success in the realm of athletics. The flag football team won back-to-back championships in the IFC division for the 2014 and 2015 seasons. We have also been contenders in IFC basketball and repeatedly see success during the playoffs, including a championship win in Spring 2014.

Not only have we succeeded within IFC sports but we also participate in a lot of philanthropy athletic tournaments. In the past we’ve won Ball for Berlin (flag football), KAT at Bat (Softball), Capture a Phi (capture the flag) and Zeta’s Crown Classic in Spring 2015 and Spring 2016 (flag football). We have seen a lot of success in the past and we’d like to continue the tradition of excellence. Our football team saw a lot of success this year but unfortunately we lost in the playoffs by one point to this year’s champions. The basketball team is currently in the midst of the playoffs seeking their second championship in 3 years and the softball team is preparing for the upcoming Spring season.

"The True Gentleman is the man whose conduct proceeds from good will and an acute sense of propriety, and whose self-control is equal to all emergencies; who does not make the poor man conscious of his poverty, the obscure man of his obscurity, or any man of his inferiority or deformity; who is himself humbled if necessity compels him to humble another; who does not flatter wealth, cringe before power, or boast of his own possessions or achievements; who speaks with frankness but always with sincerity and sympathy; whose deed follows his word; who thinks of the rights and feelings of others, rather than his own; and who appears well in any company, a man with whom honor is sacred and virtue safe.
